Denture Care Salem OR

A toothbrush in front of denturesAdvice and Tips on Caring for Dentures

  • Only your dental professional is qualified to diagnose your oral health and adjust your denture or partial.
  • Dentures should be brushed inside and outside daily with a soft, large nylon denture tooth brush with round-ended bristles.
  • Use denture creams instead of toothpastes, which are too abrasive and will scratch your denture. Rinse with cold water.
  • Dentures warp if placed in hot water.
  • Inspect your denture regularly for worn teeth.
  • Worn and stained dentures can make you look older and cause your dentures to function poorly.
  • Discuss all your current medications with your doctor and dental professional.
  • Be sure to visit your dental professional regularly.
  • Have loose dentures checked immediately as they can cause friction and pressure on the gum tissues and bones.
  • When not in use, cover dentures with water or a denture-cleaning solution to prevent them from drying out.
  • Most dental insurance policies provide coverage for new dentures every 5 years.

I had a bad tooth that needed removed and have suffered from dental anxiety from prior procedures gone wrong. This doctor and staff were the most patient caring staff I have ever encountered. This will be our dental home!

Patient Review

My daughter has been going to Dr. Martin since she was 2 (she’s now 14). I was nervous when Dr. Martin retired not knowing who we were going to have next and prepared to leave the office if we didn’t mesh although we’d miss all of the way of the staff so much. I shouldn’t have worried and should have known that Dr. Martin and Cody would choose a fabulous dentist to take over the practice. With Dr. Snyder doing adult dentistry I became a patient myself. I even pay separately for my daughter to have my dental care instead of what she has under my husband so that we could continue going to Snyder Dentistry. 5 stars and highly recommended.

My family have been coming to this office for 12 years now. Throughout the years the care the two of my boys received here has been nothing but stellar and we were the biggest Dr Martin's fans. After Dr Martin's retirement the practice was assumed by the new providers The Snyder family, but all the support staff remained the same. And the new providers are wonderful. My son just had a dental procedure yesterday done by Dr Nathan Snyder and it was truly impressive to see my 6 year old trusting his doctor and staff so much, he actually left happy and excited he got his tooth pulled out. Thank you for being one of a kind, supportive, accomodating, caring and truly enjoying what you do!

I've had no procedures done for myself but my children have and they have no fear of going to the dentist now. In fact they've asked when they would get to go again in hopes it would be soon. The entire staff is genuinely friendly and welcoming and we enjoy every visit.
